DIRECTIONS: Take the Central Exit at Kyoto Station, pass through the bus area and cross the road, heading for Kyoto Tower. Pass Kyoto Tower along the right side, heading north on Karasuma-Dori Road. Continue along the road for about 1640 feet, past the intersection with Shichi-jo-Dori Road, and the inn will be on your right. You must check in by 18:30 to eat dinner at the hotel. Guests who check-in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. To eat dinner at the hotel, a reservation must be made at least 3 days before the check-in date. If you wish to bring children, please contact the property directly. Arrangements may be possible. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. Please note that there no elevators available at the property.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. "A highlight of our visit to Japan!"

The property was charming and we were able to imagine what it was like staying there over 100 years ago. The staff was very welcoming and we enjoyed both an amazing dinner and breakfast.

Nothing. They thought of everything! We loved the comfort of the beds, the comforters and choice of pillows. The bathing rooms and the kimonos really contributed to a “step back in time” experience.

"Incredible Japanese ryokan and hospitality"

What a special place with supreme Japanese hospitality! I brought my two kids, ages 16 and 11, to experience traditional Japanese ryokan, onsen, kaiseki breakfast and we got an excellent version of all. Highly recommend staying here and the traditional breakfast.

Ohanabo was an excellent ryokan- the staff were amazing- so attentive, helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. We had the traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast and both were exceptional. The rooms were spacious, beautifully presented and so cute. The onsen was amazing and we also bkd in for a 1hr massage which were so relaxing. I cannot rate high enough for this amazing hotel. Stay here, you will not regret it.

I have never experienced customer service like this! So kind. So helpful. Our meals were unbelievable! I appreciate the wonderful experience the staff created for us. Going above and beyond for us and giving us wonderful recommendations.

I personally didn't love the pillows but I wanted an authentic experience and feel like I got it. The bathroom could have used better venting.

The staff was amazing. Food delicious and good amount.

Ofuro was the smallest of all the ones we had in the other hotels we stayed. That was not worth it.
