its very authentic and the owner is nice.

its not practical with a family, it is spread over two floors and the everything is very low, ceiling and doors. so you keep jumping your head. I think the price was quite high for what you get in return.

A very spacious old geisha house retaining many original features. Easy wall to Hiroshima train station. Steep black stairs could be a problem for older people but we loved the location and authentic Japanese experience.

Be careful with the stairs.

Le ryokan était exactement comme sur les photos. Le monsieur qui nous a accueilli était très gentil et serviable. Nous avons passé une super nuit dans ce logement typique du Japon !

The guesthouse was wonderful. So much space with just the two of us, beautiful architecture, and a truly authentic old Japanese experience with tatami mats, futon, and a wooden tub for soaking. The facilities were clean, we had plenty of towels, a place to make coffee or tea, a fridge for drinks and snacks, very fast Wi-Fi, and AC that kept the place so nice and cold. Lots of bedding and pillows too! The owner was wonderful as well. Super friendly, check in was a breeze, he gave us a tour of the place, and whenever we needed something, he responded quickly. Check out was equally fast and simple. It was a humid day and he even gave us little iced matcha teas when we departed. Truly a great experience. It made our first time in Hiroshima memorable and relaxing. If you want an authentic Ryokan experience that is only about 12 min walk from the train station, you must stay here.

De autentieke uitstraling en ingang was geweldig. De bedden waren ok. Thee en koffie goed.

Ik heb helaas mij hoofd hard gestoten. En de houten hottube was niet bruikbaar? De stoel.bij het koffie plkeje valt uit elkaar. En gevaarlojk om op te zitten

A beautiful and authentic traditional stay with a truly impressive design. The place is very clean, and the staff is available until 8 PM at the teahouse downstairs, which is very convenient. The small coffee surprise in the room was a lovely touch. The experience is quite unique, with floor mattresses and a wooden bath (ofuro), but also a regular shower available. Surprisingly, despite the very thin mattresses (at least by European standards), I slept really well.

A few minor downsides: the stairs to the rooms are quite narrow, the location is close to the train station but not very near the main attractions, and the walls could use a bit of maintenance here and there.
