Minshuku Kobayashi

Lovely grandma taking care of us in a very traditional Japanese home. It’s a great perfect stay if you have a car and if you would like to try living like a Japanese for a day.

Gracious hosts

This seems to be a typical minshuku experience. The lady is older and does not speak any english. She will show the place and use translator if necessary. There is a refrigerator to get drinks on level 1. You can pay when you leave. There is 1 bathroom with a hot bath which is quite common for home stays. Car GPS and Google Maps directions was accurate. View of Fujisan from the bedroom is beautiful. Everything is clean and as expected. I will return in future if staying in the area again.

The location is a bit out of the way, which is not an issue for me since I drove. However, if you did not drive I am not sure how you can get around.

It was in a calm area and very, very quiet in a beautiful small community. The room was clean and exactly as advertised, including the view of Mount Fuji. The Guesthouse owner funny and very accomodating.

Our stay here was wonderful! The place was clean and had so much charm. The hosts were very kind. The location was wonderful with a view of a Mt. FUJI and activities close by.

Beautiful view on the Fuji. They gave me a bike and drove me by car to the next station. I recommend this place!
