"Very nice stay at a traditional Ryokkan"

Great experience - but Ryokkans are expensive. Meal was great, service was very attentive. A little tip: go to the local family mart and buy a bottle of something if you want to have a drink. Prices for beverages are expensive. Everything else is included!

"Great location but"

The central location is terrific and Of Course, it was spotless and employees polite. It is well maintained. So why just 3 stars? Unlike other ryokans I've visited, it feels corporate & formal rather than warm and welcoming. There was no place to sit outside & the garden is very small. Breakfast was very tasty. Ordinary beer was more expensive than any other place we visited in Japan and it was disappointing that they had no craft brews. Wifi available only in the dim reception area. For the price, our stay was a bit disappointing.
