Very friendly owner, delicious meals, clean and comfortable room. The lady even gave me a ride to the bus station as it was raining. I am so thankful! Great stay and recommend to everyone!

La gentillesse de la dame qui nous a accueilli, le lieu tout simplement magique, d'y dormir vaut le coup. La chambre est très grande.

La rudesse des futons, la lumière dans la chambre est très forte et désagréable, ou trop faible et l'on ne voit rien. Peu d'intimité avec la chambre d'à côté. On entend tout.

It felt like a privilege to be able to have the opportunity to stay in a 350 year old gassho house in this beautiful village. We had a comfortable night there with a gracious host providing a delicious and plentiful supper and breakfast with lots of choice. The property also gave us the option to pay by cash or card and has WiFi too - not mentioned on the Booking.Com website

Nothing apart from not being able to talk to our host about the history of the house due to the language barrier

古い建物なので、それなりの不便さはありましたがそれも一つの味として味わえてとても良かったです。ご飯もとても美味しかった。夜は星空が見えるし、朝6時ぐらいに散歩したが空気も綺麗で最高に癒されました。

My first time stayed at a Gassho housing B&B. But the hospitality the owners provided to me was exact level I would expect at any other Japanese B&B. Gokayama Ainokura is much quieter than Shirakara-go, where was over-crowded by foreign visitors around the world in addition to domestic tourists.
