Minshuku Goyomon

Lovely stay in a traditional ryokan, surrounded by snow in a small village in mid April. The food was good. Very good value for money. Lovely warm and comfortable beds.

More interaction with the owner/chef would have been made it even better!

We loved our stay here! The host Hiromi was so welcoming and friendly, and let us leave our bags at the house when we arrived early. There is a beautiful koi pond along the back of the house, with chairs that look out over it onto the mountainside. I sat in those chairs for hours just taking in the scenery. The food was fantastic—definitely our favorite of our entire trip to Japan. There are 2 guest rooms, so it stays quiet since not that many people can stay at once. We enjoyed wandering the roads around Ainokura, and we were fortunate to have the last day be clear skies. It was a magical place!

Host was lovely and very accommodating. We arrived early and dropped off our bags to explore the village. Dinner and breakfast were great.

Wonderful accomodation in a lovely gassho village, the host was really lovely and the food delicious. I definitely recommend it!
