Loved the fact that we were staying in a throwback to an earlier era when Americans were discovering the delights of automobiles and better paved roads. If you need all the amenities that come with modern motels the Wigwams probably aren't for you. However if you enjoy supporting historic preservation , a quirky 1937 piece of Americana, a comfortable room and friendly staff you definitely have to stay at the Historic Wigwam Motel #2.

Unique and historical

Room had a very stagnant smell. Shower was not clean. I do realize it’s a work in progress on updating but the smell gave me a massive headache mid morning. Bed was comfy.

"An unusual and charming experience close to Mammoth Cave National Park."

Fantastic way to enjoy historic (1937) roadside overnight accommodations. A true step-back to simpler times and instantly becoming part of a community. Enjoyed meeting and talking with owners and fellow travelers. Well done!
