"A happy warm personable family hotel."

The family hosts were personable and warm without being clingy. The lobby feels like a welcoming living room. It was a real Japan experience that way. The small Onsen facilities for indoor and outdoor were a treat, the breakfast just lovely.

One night we experienced walking noise from the above room, at midnight, someone stomping a bit too hard, it would help to tell guests it is an old house and for rooms on upper level not to disturb guests below and to walk a bit quiet after say 10:30pm. But it was only one night and not a huge deal.

아주 친절하시고 좋습니다. 석식예약을 안했더니 근처에서 시켜먹을 수 있게 도와주십니다. 근데 그냥 가져온 거 먹었어요! 역까지 데려다 주시지만 가까워서 걸어가도 문제 없습니다. 욕탕이 약간 작은데 사람이 많지 않아 충분해요 거의 혼자 썼어요 다음에 또 갈 것 같아요!

In this structure we received a welcome and kindness that we have rarely experienced, the management is family-run and everyone is so helpful and kind. We had the dinner and breakfast formula and both were very good, with excellent quality products, we were very satisfied. In this Ryokan there is also an onsen with a very beautiful indoor and outdoor tub, perfect for relaxing. I recommend to everyone who wants to have an authentic experience at Gero Onsen. When we come to these areas again we will certainly return to this property where we felt at home and welcome. Thank you!!!!
