The Japanese Style room was excellent. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast in room (Japanese style) was an experience! Staff was so attentive and polite. The lady who served us breakfast was so nice and patient. They called a taxi for us and were outside the hotel waiting since it's late and appologized profusely when it finally arrived. All in all, an exceptional experience in Kyoto to experience tradition and culture. Also the tea cermony (extra charge) was very good and informative. The tour of the Ryokan added a sense of tradition and history vibe to the whole experience. It's also right in the heart of the historic Gion district of Kyoto.

La pulizia è impeccabile e l'atmosfera è quella autentica che si cerca in un ryokan. La posizione nel cuore di Gion è imbattibile per esplorare Kyoto. Un plauso speciale allo staff, estremamente gentile e premuroso, e all'esperienza culinaria: sia la cena kaiseki che la colazione tipica erano eccellenti e presentate con grande cura.

Nulla da segnalare, il soggiorno è stato perfetto sotto ogni punto di vista.

Mysigt, autentiskt, mycket trevlig personal som tog hand om oss. Önskar vi hade stannat längre. Bra traditionell frukost.

la struttura ti permette di vivere una vera esperienza giapponese. Tutte le camere sono in un giardino giapponese molto curato e vivere l’esperienza di dormire sul futon con le pareti di carta veramente unica. inoltre si capisce la vera essenza dei giapponesi già quando si fa il check-in quando ti portano nella stanza e ti offrono il tè preparato da loro con i dolcetti ti spiegano tutto ti mettono a posto le pantofole, è veramente una situazione quasi surreale, ma che ti fa capire davvero la cultura

Lovely reception from staff when we arrived, showed us to our room then sat us down and prepared green tea and biscuits and explained what happens in the hotel with futons etc, we ventured out for dinner to a busy area of Kyoto which was literally a 5/10 minute walk away from the hotel and there was great choice of food, had the best nights sleep ever on the futon, so comfortable and the pillows were made from buckwheat husks and were just amazing, cradling your head in the perfect position. Ukatas were provided to wear in and around the hotel.. which was a lovely touch, Breakfast was delicious and if you opt for the Japanese style, there is so much, setting you up for the day, we observed a tea ceremony and paid an extra 3000¥ each which may sound expensive but compared to other companies is very cheap, and the young lady who sat in with us was very knowledgable and explained the ritual and answered any questions we had. Checkout went smoothly, receiving a lovely gift from the owner and we could leave our luggage at the hotel enabling us to explore the beautiful city in the morning prior to moving on to the next city. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting a little Japanese experience whilst in Kyoto 🙏
