The room being right on the beach was great.

Not a thing.

Good pricing off season

The 2 bedroom suite I reserved was not what was what was offered. It ended up being a room with two beds. This was a Christmas gift for my husband and his male friend to go fishing. The motel was sitting on top of the ocean and not easy to get in the room

Was close to the Lighthouse.

At high tide the motel is the ocean and so is most of the parking. The first floor is missing sections from the waves tearing it off. I feel the building should be rebuilt or condemned.

This is no frills, a rustic older hotel. But you can’t get more oceanfront or closer to the gorgeous beach.

I would give zero stars if I could. Made a last minute reservation for the next day. When we arrived there was sand overwash blocking parking lot due to a recent storm and we couldn’t enter. Called multiple times with no answer and couldn’t leave a message. Reservations are made by off site company and they could not contact them either. Now the motel refuses to refund due to a no refund policy even though I am pretty sure they were closed that day. Don’t book here!

The pictures that are used look great - but thats the oceanview rooms - we booked pooview. (Pool is closed at this time and is more than the length of 3 motel parts away - hardly visible from the room in the much older building part we had our room 202 in) - oceanviw rooms were all flooded. So the real available rooms where certainly not as nice as the pics. So yes we liked the pics - just they weree anything but reality.

The poolview can hardly be called that from any of the rooms in the part of the building where they are assigned - we had 202 above the heavily moldy smelling office and entered through quite heavy water puddles. Next to the half flooded parking lot construction going on (that was much more visible and closer than the far away pool not opened anyhow). The room: a sofa which had stains. One out of three bulb lamps in the bathroom not turning on. A bed cover which had a stain. Blinds where almost each one in each room was broken. Mirrors which were clearly quite some age and had lost mirroring around the edges plus some leftover splatters (not major but visible). All lamps clearly dirty inside. Kitchen with a refrigerator with splatters on the side from cooking of previous guys. Oven with aluminium covers that als looked rather used for quite some time on all plates. A thermostat which had been replaced with a smaller one which then showed the old or no paint - and some anchor holes in the bathroom from previous installations. A parking lot half flooded with the recommendation to park in the slightly bigger but looser sand area. All other cars however parked next to the pool much higher over a steep sand ramp - probably safer in high surf times that had been the case - but quite steep - we rather parked there and managed to get up. When we complained per email after first going to dinner and demanded some of our money back and stated these things, we did not get a message but a knock on the door a bit later and where offered to vacate within 15 min and get a refund exceptinally if we so much dont like it. We took the owner (not very friendly) up on the offer - however she referred us to booking to get the refund as we had booked through booking. My wife was already in the bathtub when the knocking happened as we did not expect this to be going this way after we came back feom dinnef and had decided to contact the owner in the first place.

Our first room was musty smelling as if it had been under water . But the staff was fantastic and upgraded our room . I know they are dealing with flooding issues . Great job by the staff
