Edinburgh, Seton Sands

Bedsheets were clean. The town was quiet. There is parking space.

The whole time we used the space, we had trouble communicating with the host. They would either decline our calls and send us a message to communicate via text, or not read our messages completely. The biggest problem of all was that this place is a SCAM. The host requires you to send a security deposit through paypal(100 pounds). You must send it to receive the code and keys to enter the house. The host said that our security deposit would be sent back to us after our checkout. However, we did not receive our 100 pounds even after a month has passed since our stay. We had constantly messaged the host through text and booking.com messaging, but there was never a response. We are currently in communication with booking.com to deal with the money that we never received. Even through booking.com it has taken us over a month to get our problem reported officially. Hope no one else has to deal with this scam as we did. Additionally, when we first arrived at the place the fridge was dirty(with food and stains all over the walls). We had to clean it ourselves. There was never an apology from the host. The kitchen supplies were rusty and old. One of the kitchens siccors had hair stuck on it(looked like someone used it to cut their hair)

Overshadowed by all the negative.

We do not recommend this. We thought we had been scamed and had nowhere to sleep. Very stressfull with kids and being in a new country. We hadn’t received the promised details - for example the code to the key, which caravan it was.. When we tried to call the owners, they didnt answer their phone. We tried MANY times. The reception was luckily really helpful. They for in thouch with the owners, and they promised to send and e-mail with the information, we needed. However the hours went by, bit we didnt get the mail. The reception helhed us once again. They had a spare key, and knew whitch caravan it was. They also told us, that communication with the owners, were an ongoing problem. Finally we got to the caravan. And it was SO dirty. Long Black hairs all over the floors. Yellow sticky stuff on the shelves in the fridge. Stained towels and teatowels. And much more. All in all this totally ruined our first day in Scotland. When we were there and afterwards, we also tried to contact the owners - by writing and calling. But no response. Please find another place to enjoy your visit, I really cannot recommend this.

I like that the living room is spacious and has two toilet rooms. There were 3 bedrooms as well and many available car parks.

The beds in the room were not quite tidy and clean. The owners were also hard to contact.

Great stopover along John Muir Way. Nice and quiet off season, nice to have kitchen.

Twin beds were narrower than expected, no towels but I expect that is because it makes more sense as a weekly rental for a family to bring everything with them rather than just an overnight.

The caravan was in a good area of the park

The property needed a really deep clean, there were sockets and heating that didn’t work. Back had came off the plug and something left inside the microwave.

good size and close to everything

could have had some basic things washing up liquid and toilet roll…our friends stayed at another caravan and had more items for a cheaper price.
