The Edge Motel

Location good for the purpose of my trip.

TV reception poor. when I wanted to watch something NO SIGNAL. When it didn't matter had reception

No hot water Kids too noisy.

Plenty of room to park with a medium sized trailer. There was a lovely lady in attendance (or 5 minutes away if not) but the poor thing was pretty much left to cope on her own. A broken light should take a reputable motel 5-10 minutes to fix.

Unfortunately a light bulb was out and nobody present to fix it. Ended up having to change rooms, where I found another, different light not working. I gave up at that point. There was a room full of aboriginal people with 4 or 5 little kids running around at all hours unsupervised. Came back on one night to find foodstuffs strewn all over and around the carpark near my room ( they were 2 doors down). Government gave to them free I'm told, food vouchers etc. Room is trashed. Kids don't go to school. Not ideal for say an elderly couple wanting peace and quiet.

Clean Room

A bit rundown outside. Booked for 3 but only 2 plates, bowls and cups supplied. No internet.

Did not get out of the car . Hotel had been shut for some time . Found somewhere else . It’s like a refugee camp . Description is nothing like reality.

Nothing.

Bed was comfortable. There wasn’t much more to like about the accommodation.

It looked abandoned!! Broken windows at reception.
