Best decision of our trip! Wonderful traditional Japanese breakfast, traditional tatami room, onsen, and the staff. The rooms were quiet and clean and the 8 tatami room was a great size for two people. We originally signed up for one Japanese breakfast and one western breakfast but changed two two days of Japanese breakfast and experiencing how yummy and fun it was.

It felt like home from the very first time I stept in. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Really enjoyed the onsen, spent an hour there every evening in complete solitude. A place for rest and stillnes in the middle of Kyoto. I took the local city bus from Kyoto station, to get there, very convinient location for sightseeing. Would love to come back and would recomend it for solo travellers and couples.
