We came just before the season started so our experience may differ from others in mid summer. The site was so peaceful. There were signs of upgrades/alterations/repairs around the site, but this didn't interfere with our mini break.

The facilities pass seemed a little steep to just use the pool (we didn't in the end due to the cost )

Excellent lodge which is much better and bigger than a caravan. My second stay with Phil and it exceeded our expectations much more than the previous one. Comfortable beds, heating was superb in this cold weather and many amenities available like hand wash, tissues, liquid, sugar etc.

Spacious Dishwasher (rare in caravan but a big relief for us) Sufficient kitchen supplies Decent clean Microwave Oven Phil is amazing. He’s always prompt on response which was helpful in communication. He gave perfect directions to reach both caravans which saved lot of our time.

This is not property owner’s fault but more booking.com problem. We were group of 11 and hence we booked 2 caravans. Both caravans were at good distance and it was difficult to commute on walk with kids in this bad weather. 2nd caravan was only used for sleep hence the other caravan got tight for us to stay whole day. Lesson learnt. From next time we will ensure to first check if both caravans are adjacent and then book. I wish the caravan provides linen for sofa bed as it’s not hygiene to use duvet without cover, pillow without pillow cover and sofa bed without bedsheet

It was clean and tidy good heating for the time of year and good value for money. The Lodge was well equipped but one thing missing a mop. A rubber mat or some slabs needed outside the door as it get muddy this time of year
