Tayari Luxury Tented Camp - Mara

Daniel the receptionist was really helpful as at one point there was no internet so he shared his own connection to make a WhatsApp call. The beds in the tent have very good mattress and they clean and do the bedrooms every day. At night they bring you a warmer which is highly appreciated. The camp is some 10 minutes away from the Masai Mara gate. If they have big parties they do propose a buffet. Although the bad side of it is that you should quickly come to get food as it vanishes quickly as well. The last night is was empty. Daniel proposed to bring me chicken. However by the time the chicken was cooked I was already gone to bed. Daniel kindly did not charged me for dinner. That was the only fair experience I had in the country.

The dining room is very lugubrious. Geoffrey the guide used by the place and who came to show us the Masaï Mara was good. He told us he was independent so we told him that our friends coming the week after us and staying at another camp would book him. He was happy about it. Time and date were agreed between the two parties. The day before the appointment he never answered to our friends calls and the next morning he never showed up. Trust and commitment are something totally missing in Kenya. They are nice to you to as long as they can get immediate money the rest is not important to them. I would highly advise not to book your trip in Kenya itself or thru local companies to avoid time and money loss. We had several bad experiences alike different tourists we met in different parks. A safari lasts only few days in each park. It is therefore much better and safer to use a travel agency from home as you can hardly count on serious guides when booking on spot.

Great location, 5-7 mins away from the Sekanani Gate. Sustainable Tented Camp run by wonderful Masai staff. Comfortable beds and very nice well maintained tents in the wilderness just off the main highway. Truly luxurious tents for the price paid ! Daily Housekeeping, hot water in the shower and a hot water bottle in the bed at night was a great touch. Ever helpful & warm staff !

The service attitude of the staff is very good, and the bonfire at night can make people from all over the world meet.

自助餐做的不是很美味，性价比也较低，不如单点来的划算 The buffet is not very delicious, and the price/performance ratio is also low. It is not as cost-effective as the a la carte

The staff was friendly except for mr daniel

There was no hot water, no electricity from night 10 30pm to morning 5 am , wifi is only available at the reception. The food in the buffet is limited once its over they dont refill. The shower did not work. The tent was dark it was a good thing we carried our own lights.

Nice clean and value for money.
