The environment was great, the food was good and all in all very enjoyable.

The location of the camp was surrounded by other camps which we did not expect.

We took a camel ride to the camp and it was so uncomfortable because the saddle had no padding on its metal frame. It was intolerably painful and I kept asking the guide for help. He was very young. After the camel ride, the guide tried to sell us little glass bottles, which was very tone deaf when being able to rest was what we needed after such a painful ride. At the camp, a staff member said it's because I'm not used to riding a camel, but I have ridden camels, elephants and horses previously without any pain. We stayed in December when it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite what is advertised, there is no heat in the rooms, so it was very cold and uncomfortable to sleep. This camp is surrounded by about 6 other camping sites, so it is fairly crowded and loud.

The staff was very nice, 5 star is it not really but it was fun

Staff gentilissimo e disponibile, ci hanno anche organizzato un tour nelle zone circostanti con alla fine un giro in quad sulle dune. Le tende erano accoglienti e pulite e il cibo ottimo. Tutto perfetto!

The camp was beautifully situated just steps from the dunes, with a lovely walkway lit by soft lanterns leading to an outdoor fire pit for an enjoyable evening of song and dance.

There was absolutely nothing negative to report. My wife and I both had a fantastic stay at Moonlight Luxury Desert Camp!

I spent a night at Moonlight Luxury Camp, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip! The place is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by peaceful desert views and a magical under the stars. The tents were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. The food was delicious full of flavor and served with care. Thank you to everyone at Moonlight Luxury Camp for such a wonderful experience, I’ll definitely come back again!

With all of the options for a desert camp and some reviews for other options feeling overly positive and fake, I did a lot of research before booking for our night in the Moonlight luxury camp and I can truly say this was a great experience, totally worthy of a 10 rating! The camp itself was beautiful and exactly as per the pictures (if not better). The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and truly luxurious for being at the edge of the desert. It is good to know that most of the camps run in a row, dotted one next to the other with 20-100m between the next camp and even just from an outside view, our camp felt the most well-kept and well placed. The food was great, with a multiple course meal for dinner and traditional Moroccan breakfast as per most other hotels in Morocco. The staff was very friendly and engaging and topped off an experience and a stay that was a real delight and great value for money.

The only small point that could be improved would be the communication or what to expect in terms of the camel transfer (if you decide to book this - also good value compared to prices of other places) and the schedule. Our camel guide was nice, but spoke limited English and so when we stopped shortly before the camp we were left wondering for a while what we were supposed to do (as it turned out we stopped to climb a dune for the sunset). A short itinerary sent to us beforehand would be a simple solution to clear any language barriers, but this is more of an improvement point to the team rather than a critique 😊
