We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was 100% perfect from start to finish! The place is beautiful, comfortable, and managed with great care and professionalism. A special thank you to the staff member who received our payment. I accidentally gave an extra amount, and he immediately returned the money with complete honesty. That simple gesture truly touched us and showed the remarkable integrity of the Moroccan people and the high standards of this hotel. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended! Eduardo

"Book it, you won't regret it!"

10.0

We had an amazing stay at Moonlight Desert Camp! The staff were incredibly friendly and honest, and we received exactly what was promised. Every aspect of our experience was excellent. The food, in particular, was the highlight of our trip - it was the best meal we've had, and we highly recommend it! The activities, including the camel ride and ATV experience, were also top-notch. The combination of great food, wonderful staff, and exciting activities made our stay truly unforgettable!

"Delightful Desert Camp Stay"

8.0

This was a small, and I presume family-owned business, and it was a delightful place to experience the Sahara Desert. The tents were clean and spacious, and just what we were hoping for. The dinner and the breakfast were very nice, and the prearranged camel tour was excellent. The cameleer, Mohammed, was excellent.

About the only disappointment in the accommodation was that our tent was extremely hot when we first arrived in the late afternoon - e.g. much hotter than the temperature outside. We know it is the Sahara desert, so duh, don't be surprised that it gets hot; but the tents could have benefited greatly from a second window. That way you can allow a cross-breeze to cool the tents off faster. Just an idea. The other issue, but this was in no way the accommodation's fault, concerns the prevalence of quad bikes on the dunes. Sadly our camel ride was heavily constrained by the ridiculous number of inconsiderate people riding quad bikes all over the dunes. Quad bikes and camels do not mix well. At some point the people administering the area will need to address this.

"Gut organisierte Wüstentour mit Folkloreprogramm"

Alles war perfekt organisiert. Der Transfer ins Wüstencamp wurde vorab per Mail abgefragt und die Kosten dafür transparent gemacht. Abendessen war sehr reichhaltig und extrem lecker. Gute Ausstattung der Unterkunft.

"Run, not walk, to book your stay here!!!"

10.0

EVERYTHING! In all the camps we saw luxury camps we saw around us, this one was the most intimate and beautifully designed and lighted. The rooms are gorgeous and more comfortable than a hotel. The staff are the friendliest of the friendliest. My main point of contact was Said who can organize sunset camel rides, village/day tours and more. He himself is an excellent tour guide as we personally experienced. Omar was super helpful as a driver from point to point Another Said works at the camp as the reception welcome, restaurant host, and nightly musician. He just beams happiness and joy. And as he said to us often with a big smile "Welcome to the Sahara!"

That we only have 2 nights here!

The location was amazing, the camp beautiful and small in scale. Said the host was absolutely awesome, very friendly and couldn't be more accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful and the live music performance around the fire at night with dancing was great fun. We would definitely return.

HIDDEN TRANSFER COST OF 50 EUROS. We have removed 2 points from would would have been a 10 review because there is a mandatory 50 euro charge for transfer from the hotel where they ask you to park your own vehicle. The journey is 2km or so over sand so charging 50 euros return trip and not revealing this until after booking is pretty shady! We spoke to many other people who stayed in the dunes and their transfers were included. It should be much more obvious in the booking that a transfer fee is applied, we still would have booked. If you have a 4wd vehicle or a light off-road capable motorbike you would make it to the camp yourself easily but I'm not sure there would be anywhere to park.

Amazing experience! I was researching different options for dessert camp and I'm very happy I've chosen this one! Unlike some others, here the price is very reasonable and completely fair. You get an absolutely delicious dinner and breakfast (water, tea is ofc included) and if you decide to take a camel ride/go back via car (which I think was a perfect combination) you only pay additional 70€ per two people in total. When we were there we had the whole camp to ourselves and it was simply the best!!

"Exceptional Glamping Experience in the Dunes! Don't Think, BOOK NOW!"

10.0

AMAZING PROPERTY! AMAZING PEOPLE! AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I did A LOT of research before choosing MOONLIGHT DESERT CAMP as this is clearly the best of the best. (By the way, I work in the travel industry and have a keen pair of eyes.) There are no surprise ad-on costs or pressure to book extra excursions. We drove to Merzouga, parked, got on a camel (our choice), trekked out through the dunes to the camp and GLAMPED. AND IT IS GLAMPING! Superior tents with full bath, massive comfy bed, outdoor terrace with shade. Great meals in the dining tent and crazy fun music around the fire at night. We spent 2 nights here and took advantage of a day off which was fantastic: walking the dunes, sandboarding, a little napping and great lunch! It's SO SILENT around noon, I think I had the best siesta of my life! We absolutely loved the staff, the facilities, everything! A unique AMAZIGH experience with great people!
