Economy Inn Richmond

Upon arrival, we didn't know what to think about the place. Not really a high standard neighborhood, but that never stopped us before, so we gave it a try, and we are glad we did! This place has it all! a clean spacious room, fridge microwave, coffeemaker, a very clean bathroom, and perfectly working Wifi. what more do you need? And close to San Francisco for a very reasonable price.

I should have turned around and looked elsewhere when we got to the front window. The check in desk was glass with a slide for passing the payment. I had to request the clerk get off her phone to serve us. The ad said 28 rooms with microwave and fridge. My husband and I were put up in an ugly pink building behind the pictured building. No fridge, no microwave, no Hand towels. Turned on the television to a full shot of porn. Couldn't get it turned off. I think this is a hotel you rent rooms by the hour.... Afraid to leave and request a refund because they already had my credit card number. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The door to our room looked like it had been broke into and had not seen a paint brush in many years. Box springs had a horrible brown stain. Blanket and bedspread were questionable as to when they were last washed. Sheets were clean. Towels nicely folded and clean. Carpet appeared newer and clean. Heard traffic even though at the back of building, next to the Tattoo Parlor.:(

This looks like it was once one of those old "motor courts" of the fifties, where every room had it's own carport, some of which have been closed to create extra rooms. The physical condition of the property is pretty good and, it was quiet and the manager and staff were very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is a bit on the old side, but kept well for a budget stay. The staff is friendly. Was late checking in a on a booked night and I was able to call ahead and they made sure to hold my room. I would stay here again.

It was great to stay at Economy Inn in Richmond. I stayed there for close to 30 days and the hotel managers were ever so warm and helpful. The breakfast was an added plus. Would definitely stay there again, if I travel back to that region.

y girlfriend and I booked a room in the Economy Inn in Richmond to spend a night between Pismo Beach and Crescent City (Redwood NP). Let's say we tried to spend a night... When we arrived at 6pm my girl did the check in and got the keys to our room which was in building 2 on ground floor. We opened the room and checked it before we tried to feel comfortable. Actually it never happened! 1. The coatrack was without any hangers. 2. We checked the bath and it was looking like there were still people living in the room: the 2 geeks were laying on the ground of the bathroom, the wastebin was still full of stuff and the ground was dirty! fortunately the towels and soaps and whatever were made up for us... what a lazy cleaningstuff! we told them to make the bathroom up for us and she did... but remember: it was 6pm! and the room next to us was still not done! after this no good first impression we thought to be good for the rest until we discovered a used plastic fork in between of the cupboard and the television... JOB NOT DONE! so far so good, we went out to have dinner. When we came back we tried to sleep. The couple 1 floor above us had sth like a party going on.. they were talkin, laughing and jumping around. we heard every single word and the street was noisy aswell... At least after a few hard bumps to the wall they recognized they're not alone and heard! in the end we fell asleep around 2am... we were very disapointed of the fact we had to pay 90.-- incl tax for 1 night in a room like this... i would never again spend a night in this motel evendough the deskofficer was friendly... but thats not worth nothing by all this facts! DONT GO THERE!

The management thought I had smuggled a pet into ourcroom because I was seen in the parking lot standing next to a friends teacup chiwowwa. They refused us to extend our stay due to that. The animal never entered our room. This unnerved me totally. Basically this place is a lo end drugden and bordello

The staff let me have an early check in of 8am AND switched my room from smoking to non-smoking free of charge (even though a non-smoking room was more expensive). I appreciate their dedication to their guests!

The rooms were clean, the location was convenient, the reception staff were friendly, and the wifi was free. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers. I had a good night's sleep and didn't hear any traffic noise.

Stayed here over night and the price and room were both good. The size of the room was big enough to relax in and the bed was really comfortable. Staff was friendly and nice. Location served my purpose which was convenient off the interstate. I would stay here again.
