We DID NOT STAY. We arrived, got in and the caravan was disgustingly dirty, full of ANTS crawling everywhere. We booked and stayed into a Travelodge. I run a Domestic Cleaning Company and if I left my customers houses like this, they would never have me return, I would be sacked! I also paid £30 extra for the Caravan to be cleaned when we left. The caravan was advertised to be Self-Clean, so the people hiring to clean before they leave. And if it isn't clean then the Owners would charge the hirer, and they would need to clean. Well the OWNERS haven't been cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING, DO NOT HIRE Look at the Photos. I have a short video of Ants crawling but not able to add!!! They have a Travellers review Awards 2023 - Booking.com 8.4 out of 10. NO WAY, NOT POSSIBLE.

It was filthy dirty, it’s stank of weed and nothing was clean. The cleaner hadn’t been in and it was in an absolute state. My partner and I had to clean the entire caravan as we had made plans for the weekend and had no alternative option.

It was a brilliant comfy little caravan. One of the nicest caravans Iv been too.

Not far from were I needed to be Clacton was also nice to visit and the Jaywick beach was great for the dogs Lodge was good for the dogs as the main living space is roomy.

Upon arrival the email received from the owners gave multiple postcodes which was extremely confusing. We used the first postcode and it took us to the area (like postcodes do) but not to the correct site so we ended up driving around the wrong site for about 40 mins trying to find our lodge. A whats3words would have been more helpful to get you directly to the lodge Then we went to pub and asked for directions. We also texted the owners for help of which they were extremely unhelpful considering we were so lost and thought they would want to help their customers get to location. Next obstacle was a barrier into the correct site. We weren’t given a code for that or told what to do. Owner said not to contact them until morning. I pushed the reception button hoping it would connect me to someone that would help, went to voicemail. Luckily a car came out and we just drove in. Found our lodge and unpacked. The plates were filthy - all needed cleaning before use as did the glasses There were live bugs in the kitchen, living room and toilets The table was broken and very wobbly so eating at that was challenging The sides and tables also felt sticky so they needed wiping down before use as well. So before I could even start my holiday I have had to clean everything which isn’t right. No WiFi Paying extra for under sheets is just criminal and no towels were supplied. Location is not a “5 min walk to the beach” as it says on the booking information and was one of our main reasons for booking. We texted owners again on second day to ask about the gate barrier and again we received very harsh responses and were extremely unhelpful.

Caravan was great and clean for us.

The facilities nearby wasn't as much as we hoped.

Clean. Spacious. Comfortable
