Nice view from the balcony, there was a kitchen to use. The shared bathroom was clean.

Very dark inside. We stayed with two in the three-person room, with three the bed would have been really small. We were cold during the night. The shower didn't get warm.

Room walls bit dirty,main door not easy to open

The view is amazing from the balcony. Our room was very spacious and when we arrived, we got picked up from the bus with our backpacks and dropped off at the hostel with a Jeep.

It was super noisy. Our room was next to the street and in the first morning (when we slept without earplugs) we woke up because it felt like all the roosters and trucks were inside our room. With earplugs it’s doable. The space in the hostel is very limited tho. There are 3 rooms and all of them were booked so being with 7 people with only 1 bathroom per gender, no living room and 1 small kitchen is giving limits. You can’t cook and eat at the same time. The hygiene could have been better as well. Also, for our last day we tried to get in touch with the hostel owner to get picked up and dropped off by the bus but there was no answer and we were kept in the dark, so we just went walking.

The number one attraction of this hostal is the location. It's a charming, rustic wooden cabin, and it's veranda has a great view of trees, where we watched colourful birds all morning! We even saw the famous andean cock of the rock. So the veranda is the best place to relax. Its a very quiet hostal, not the most social but good if you just want to relax. It's a very short walk to the center too.

The room itself is quite dark and small, very simple, but it suited our needs. The toilet in the bathroom was terrible though, it got clogged about 3 times!! There was a family of birds living outside the wall too, so we could hear their funny noises all night (quite amusing for us, but worth noting😅). The kitchen was okay too, not outstanding but good enough.

Super nice location. We even saw the cock-of-the-Rock bird from the balcony! Room was spatious and clean. Very close to the main square.

A five minute walk from the town centre. It felt safe and secure in terms of doors being locked. Communal areas were cleaned a few times a day and the cleanliness was good. Bathrooms were really quite nice. It was very good value.

We had booked to stay in the budget triple room, when we arrived we were actually given a double room which wasn’t a problem, but the photos on booking.com are misleading as they incorporate two different buildings into one accommodation. We did not have our own balcony as we thought we would based on the photos, and instead we had a very small double room which was boiling hot in the afternoon, to the point that we could not remain in the room. The windows did not lock securely and the view did look out at a nice nature reserve but looking down it was actually quite dirty and full of rubbish (see photo). The pillows were also flat and lumpy, I requested two more pillows but they were not provided, I had to fold my pillow in half to have something to rest my head on. In this case, I think I got what I paid for. We moved after two nights. Maybe guests in the other rooms or building will have had a more comfortable experience.

Amazing staff, and good rooms, amazing view of the mountains from the balcony !
