Jetwing Jungle Lodge, A Luxury Reserve

Honest Review The location and the staff were wonderful. Everyone was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The surroundings were lovely, with plenty of animals around, which made the experience feel very special. The hotel is also conveniently located close to the beach and near Entrance No. 1 for the safari. They even prepared a very nice breakfast pack for us, which we really appreciated. Everything was superb, especially the room. It was outstanding, very cosy, and beautifully designed.

The only thing I can point out is the dinner. The food was good, don’t get me wrong. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, but the taste and flavors were not particularly special. I don’t mind paying a premium price for food, but when doing so I expect something a bit more memorable. To be fair, the food was good and the chef was very attentive, asking about allergies and checking that everything was satisfactory. However, at this price level I was hoping for a little more in terms of flavor and creativity just my humbel opinion i might be wrong cause many other people seemd to like it. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

I would like to sincerely thank the hotel management and the entire team for their outstanding professionalism in handling an issue I experienced during my stay. The way the situation was managed—with prompt response, genuine care, and great attention to detail—truly reflects a high standard of service. The hotel manager was extremely kind and respectful, and every member of the staff was polite and attentive, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The food at the hotel restaurant was also delicious and of excellent quality. The hotel offers a peaceful and elegant atmosphere, perfect for relaxation, and they truly created an exceptional experience for me. What a hotel !!! As soon as we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble , we had a lodge and it was huge , immaculate and the comfiest bed we have stayed in . We did not lift a finger . They served us breakfast on our balcony . And you can use the facilities of the neighbouring jetwing . But nice to go back to your lodge in the peace of nature. They rang us when the local elephant was paying a visit in the hotel grounds which was amazing !! Safari was well organised. Saw everything. The pool was amazing also . Loved it book it !

I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this. Set behind the sand-dunes of a beach with strong edge-of-the-world vibes, gorgeous lodge rooms with great attention to detail, attentive staff, great food and a rooftop infinity pool that touches the jungle canopy. And wildlife abounds. Wild Elephants (we saw them every morning) deer, langurs, cows, civets and more. It’s adjacent to the Jetwing Yala and use of their pool, restaurants and rooftop sunset lounge are included. The Jungle Lodge is so special though. Shameem and his team looked after us so well. I would return in a heartbeat. Truly amazing.

Die Lage und Anlage des Hotels war gut. Es was gepflegt und sauber. Das Hotel ist sehr nahe am Nationalpark. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber. Zudem gibt es einen schönen Pool.

Als wir ankamen, hiess es das Hotel wäre überbucht, trotz unserer Resevierungsbestätigung. Wir warteten zwei Stunden und gingen, dann auf unsere Safari. Zu dieser Zeit wussten wir immer noch nicht, ob wir ein Zimmer bekommen. Es konnte uns nicht gesagt werden. Am Abend kamen wir wieder zurück und bekamen ein Zimmerschlüssel und durften auf unser Zimmer. Kurz darauf klopfte es an unserer Zimmertür und ein Mitarbeiter sagte uns, wir haben nicht eingecheckt und sollen mit an die Rezeption kommen. Sie hatten zwei Mal Zeit uns einzuchecken. Für das Nachtessen mussten wir ins andere Jetwing Hotel gehen. Dort sassen wir in einem riesen Speisesaal voller Menschen und mit lauter Musik (31. Dezember). Wir konnten nicht miteinander sprechen, da es so laut war. Das Buffet hatte eine sehr grosse Auswahl und war in Ordnung. Jedoch waren viele Speisen nur noch lauwarm. Wir haben extra dieses Hotel ausgwählt (10 Zimmer), um Ruhe zu haben und mit wenigen Leuten zu sein. Leider war dies überhaupt nicht der Fall. Sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben noch eine Massage für den Folgetag gebucht. Diese wurde von der Managerin des Hotels gebucht und uns bestätigt. Als wir aber zum Massagetermin erschienen sind, wusste der Spa nichts von unserem Termin. Sie sagten, sie hätten keine Buchung bekommen. Die Organisation dieses Hotels ist eine Katastrophe. Die Managerin weiss selber nicht, wie sie ein Hotel leiten soll. Sehr inkompetent und wusste nicht, was machen. Sie sagte nur, sie habe die Massage gebucht. Gab keine Entschuldigung noch sonst irgendetwas. Sehr unprofessionell. Es hatte zwar sehr viele Mitarbeiter, aber die wenigsten wussten, was sie arbeiten sollen. Zudem war die Kommunikation sehr schwierig, da sie nur gebrochen Englisch sprechen konnten und auch wenig verstanden. Von einem 5 Sterne Hotel sind wir mehr als enttäuscht. Dies entspricht nicht dem Standart. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht!

Emplacement juste à côté du parc, tb. La piscine à débordement avec vu mer exceptionnelle et en plus visiblement les gens préfère la grande de l’autre Hôtel Jetwing , donc nous avions une piscine pour nous 5! Le petit déjeuner, buffet de l’autre hotel Jetwîng juste à côtéTb. Voir un éléphant à 5 m de l’hôtel juste avant de partir en Safari c’était sympa .

Les chambres n’ont aucune vue, sombres . Mais déco très sympa .
