Shipwrecked Hostel

A super hostel, when we were there great guests. The private room was comfortable and good bed. Shared facilities were exceptional, so making cooking easy. Owners were friendly and offered lots of help/advice.

This was so far the best place I have been in Costa Rica. Everything is cozy, specially the people. They are so welcoming, friendly, helpful and truly and sincerely care for us. They treat us like proper friends. The place is very clean, environmental friendly , with an unique decoration. They have 3 sweet rescue animals that also give us so much love, couldn’t recommend more this place.

Really nice place, the owners and staff are really friendly and helpful, we have been travelling for a month now between nicaragua and costa rica and have stayed at a mix of places from budget to luxury and this place has by far the best kitchen and shower facilities out of the lot and is squeaky clean

Clean, lovely owners and volunteers, the sleeping pods, felt really welcome/at home!

Keep in mind that the hostel is pretty far from the beach (30 minute walk).

We had a great time at Shipwrecked - the hostel is clean and has good facilities. The kitchen is well-stocked and it's so nice that it's outside, it means it's a sociable space especially in the mornings. The top deck is a good social space too and you can see a nice sunset from there . The owners are so nice, help you book tours and have recommendations for places to eat and how to get buses etc. We felt really safe, the room was nice and bed really comfortable. After a few bad hostel experiences, we really appreciated how relaxing and clean this place was, it gave us the time to recuperate which we needed. The hostel is also only a 30 minute walk to Uvita beach and there are bikes to hire if you want to go there quicker or go further along the coast.

Some lights up the drive at night would be helpful but otherwise there's nothing we didn't like! We loved it and would 100% stay again
