Shipwrecked Hostel

Clean, creative, and full of fun travelers! But not too many! Nice intimate group. The space encouraged much interaction. Morning bird watching with our coffee, shared trips with guests, evening yoga, and late night chats. We stayed there with our 2 adult (ish) kids. There was one private room that was VERY comfortable and the bunks were fantastic! Everyone slept well.

It was central, but right on the 2-lane highway. Physically high up, so I never felt traffic was a threat, but the noise was ever-present. And the kitchen was devoid of proper cooking utensils.

Long Walk to the beach (30 min), not enough „full bathrooms“ (they have one big bathroom and then 2 showers and 2 toilets) and space to dry damp/wet clothes.

Very beautiful building. Functional and exceptional in its esthetics. Everything is very clean - the room, bathrooms, kitchen. Great top deck for chilling. AC is working very well. High speed internet. And wonderful staff - really great guys: hepful, supportive, proactive.

A bit far from the beach. But walkable distance.

Convenient location to the bus station, the beach, and the waterfall. The facilities were great! There were many comfortable places to relax, the kitchen was well stocked, the dorm room had aircon in the evenings, the workstay volunteers were awesome. All in all, we had a great time!

Location. Easy to get a lot of places by walking or bus. AC in the bunk room was an added benefit for those hot days/nights. The upstairs was open and had comfy spots to relax in with a breeze. The murals throughout added a personal touch.

No complaints- loved the stay

The staff were super lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything is clean, accessible, comfortable. It's a lovely hostel.

The ONLY thing I didn't like was that the shower had a constant water leak. I care about water conservation. Cheers

the cleanest place we have stayed whilst in costa rica, although it can be a little tricky on foot would definitely stay again! The owners and the people staying at the hostel were all lovely and the kitchen facilities are amazing!

This hostel was the best we stayed in by far. It was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is so much beautiful art around the hostel. Hot showers upon request. Laundry service. Bike rentals. We walked in less than 10 mins to at least 5 different restaurants. We loved to cook in their outdoor community kitchen. We found everything we needed. Very laid back. The bunkhouse is not just bunk beds lined up in a room. They are super private and spacious capsules. Once the curtain is closed you are in your own room. It’s quiet and has AC. Upstairs we played games and danced to music. We will definitely be back. And we loved the two dogs and cat. So friendly and cute.
