Shipwrecked Hostel

The dorm capsules are very nice. Chillout deck and trees around are also very nice. Thr location is in the middle of everything.

The location is far away from everything. Kitchen is kinda small or at least tight shaped. Shower/toilet doors are annoying! A/C in the dorm but only cold shower ... ?!

Friendly staff. Super facilities - kitchen, yoga space, chill out/relax space, air conditioned dormitory, large dormitory cabin space, comfy mattress, large showers, area for drying clothes, small numbers of guests allowed for friendly and safe vibes.

No warm water in the showers.

Personally I didn't find this hostel to be in a good location or atmosphere. The hostel is run by volunteers and it felt like they were their own group with you intruding. Only the person checking me in introduced themselves, the others didnt interract with the guests and it was hard to know who was on shift. The location is one the main highway, there are some shops and restaurants around but it is impossible to get to them because you have to walk on the main road which isn't safe because there is no pavement and cars are travelling at speed. It's particularly bad for females because you get harassed by the passing cars. The beach is 40min walk away on a smaller road, but same issues apply.

The social areas were great and the pod style beds were spacious and comfortable. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful, especially Peri. The communal kitchen was well stocked and there was good atmosphere in the whole place. Location was a nice walk in between the bus station and the beach.

Very steep driveway leading up to the property which was a bit tricky in the rain with heavy backpacks but I didn't fall up or down it and I'm quite clumsy so it's definitely doable
