Caledon Grace Guesthouse

I was a bit disappointed upon arrival, as the property appeared quite a bit older than how it was presented in the photos. I was expecting a more modern space based on the pictures, so it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

We were quite excited for our stay based on the photos and glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. The property is significantly older than it appears in the pictures, which made our first impression a little underwhelming. The room we booked was shown with a bathtub, but it only had a shower, which was a bit disappointing. There were a few maintenance issues as well—such as the ledge on the large windows being broken, so they couldn’t lock properly. Thankfully, they didn’t open from the outside. The room was also very cold, and the heater provided wasn’t strong enough to warm up the space, making it quite uncomfortable during the night. Unfortunately, neither of us were able to get much sleep. The staff were very kind and tried to help by bringing firewood for the fireplace, which we appreciated. However, once we lit the fire, the room filled with a strong smell of firelighters, which irritated our eyes and throats even with the windows open. In the end, it made things worse rather than better. To top it off, the next morning we had no hot water. After running the tap for about 15 minutes with no change, we ended up boiling a kettle to wash up. That was a frustrating way to end our stay. We travel often and love discovering new places, and while we really wanted to enjoy this one, it just didn’t work out for us. The place clearly has charm and potential, and the staff were lovely, but it might be helpful for future guests if the listing more accurately reflects the current condition of the property. Everyone has different expectations, and this one just didn’t align with ours.

Stay was a gift and feedback was breakfast was too early the morning so he couple had to get up much earlier than expected so didn't feel could relax in the morning.

I have such a wonderful experience in your place, where everyone is so accommodating, kind , friendly. They are so approachable. The environment is so peaceful. Have you ever been exactly In a place where you wish you would be. They have the best staff ever. Petrus and Lorenzo are the best assets that no one, absolutely no one would like to lose. in life you meet the people that their care and love is in their nature, is coming from their bottom of the heart. Oh I can not forget the breakfast, It is amazing

What an exceptional guesthouse! The pictures online don't show just how beautiful and picturesque the property is. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was magical. Our room was magnificent, with the most spectacular views and incredibly clean! What made it even more special was the history of the house. We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you to Lorenzo and his team for a wonderful stay!

I could not have asked for a better place to rest my mind and soul. Extremely friendly staff that made me feel so welcome, absolutely breathtaking property and surroundings and fantastic facilities. If you're looking to escape the city life for a few days, this place is everything you could ask for ♥️
