The place was in need of a refurbishment old, dated,bed was a bit a springy although bedding was clean. The room was in need of fresh decor etc the owner was a cheerful helpful man

Did not like the old fashioned furniture and even had a loofer in bathroom ahh. Bathroom paper was torn

Jeffrey the owner was a perfect host and made you feel welcome. The rooms were very comfortable and big, little bit tied in places but still very comfortable and lovely big rooms. The heating was on to make sure that nobody got cold.

The only thing I could say was that there wasn’t a buy there and that there wasn’t a restaurant for evening meals you could have breakfast which was lovely but you couldn’t have evening meals. But in saying that it is literally a storm throw away to all the bars and all the restaurants that you need so it wasn’t a bad thing really.

Excellent example of a B&B from James Heriot era. Rooms were of good size and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable.

For older couples, the stairs might be a bit much. There were seats on each of the landings. Bathrooms were dated, but it goes with the atmosphere of an authentic B&B.

The owner was so friendly and helpful in providing recommendations for us in the town and was really flexible around our check in and check out. The breakfast was tremendous.

Everything met our expectations.
