The owner was lovely, very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and we had an extra duvet, which we needed! The window looks directly onto Kanchenjunga, if you’re lucky enough to be out of the clouds. I think we were on the 5th floor, so not so good if you struggle with stairs, but great for view. We also had access to a beautiful roof terrace, full of flowers.

Yuma D home stay is an interesting property and full of character, it is perfectly situated in Darjeeling , down to the Toy Train and up to the Mall. My room was nice and spacious with everything I needed,comfy bed and nice warm blankets, I had breakfast every morning from a nice menu, all freshly cooked to order, the omelette was as good as it gets. The views from the terraces and my bedroom are absolutely stunning. But the best thing about this home stay is Dhiraj, he is a wonderful host and very generous with his time and knowledge of the area, he advised and booked various trips for me and I left feeling that I had really discovered this beautiful location. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I loved my stay here. Highly recommended

Room heater should be provided during winter seadon as i felt very very cold inside the room.

The present experience was pleasant. The entire interior is wooden, & a treat for the eyes. It is difficult to find even a single dot of dirt inside. The terrace with a nicely maintained rooftop garden will never fail to mesmerize you. The Kanchanjungha is clearly visible from the terrace and the room. The host has a charming personality, & the staff are well behaved. Happily recommend.

The TV was not working. We did not bother much though. I feel, they should ensure that the basic amenities are in working condition well in advance, much before arrival of the guests, such that they need not bring it to the notice of the host.

Yuma D Homestay is a wonderful place to stay in Darjeeling. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the view from the windows is just beautiful. The hosts are incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. We enjoyed the home-cooked meals, which had a lovely local touch. The location is perfect, close to everything, making our stay even more convenient. Highly recommend!
