Since I was involved in the book "A Perfect Week in Tuscany" for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, this place has become a staple of our family vacation plans. We come almost every year, and when Hugo greets us charmingly, we feel like we're at home. There are wonderful restaurants nearby, but no one really needs to leave the house to eat. A constantly changing menu makes every meal a delight. The house and garden offer everyone plenty of privacy, and Bordoni is the ideal base for excursions in the surrounding area.

Hands down the best place to stay in the countryside in Tuscany. Amazing structure (rooms, pool, Italian style garden) and even better food at their restaurant. Also in terms of logistics, great place to stay to visit Florence, Siena, the Chianti region (or even Val D’Orcia)

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Bordoni! We arrived late, but the staff left us excellent instructions on how to get to our room which was situated in a different building than the main house. Our room was above our expectations with a very private terrace and short walk to the pool. We had dinner at the restaurant and everything was amazing. Only downside was that our stay was too short, but that just means we have to come there again!

My husband and I stayed for four nights in early August. The hotel is lovely. The grounds are immaculate. The staff is attentive and eager to help with travel itineraries and excursions. The restaurant is top quality -- the best dinner we had while in Italy.

l’atmosphère, le personnel et le vin !

le rapport qualité prix n’est pas bon. Les lits sont durs, pas de café ni de thé dans les chambres, les transats sont pas dignes d’un hôtel de ce type, le petit déjeuner n’est pas à la hauteur, pas de services piscine, pas d’eau minérale à la discrétion, facturations des frais de couverts même quand vous résidez à l’hôtel … bref tout un tas de petits éléments qui font de cet hôtel plus un B&B qu’un vrai étoilé, mais avec des prix alignés sur la concurrence plus haut de gamme.

I wanted to spend some time in a calm and relaxed place. I thought a small wine yard villa was a good option. Unfortunately it was not super calm as they have a family room. I was at the pool twice and both times a family was there screaming and jumping in the pool. I also had made a reservation for a gourmet cooking class, but also then a family shows up with 3-7 years olds…really?!? So I skipped that. I wanted to learn, but not in a kiddy environment. Super sad! They have good food and the cleaning staff is great. The room was nice. Unfortunately there is no view at any place around the Villa, they also just have a lot of metal chairs that are very uncomfortable. But they have a 11 kW charge point for the car!! Strange thing: The owner sits by a table all days, but do not talk to the guests at all, not even a hi. A bit weird and creepy.

Thios is an exceptional small Boutique hotel. Very nicely equipped. The restaurant is also very good, service is excellent. Nice pool in the garden.
