I wish there was a 5* rating. I can’t talk highly enough of Villa Bordoni. Superb views. Super bedroom with 4 poster bed with veil, super size bathroom and huge walk-in shower with power shower attachments and a Romeo & Juliet bathroom. Super friendly staff, helpful & efficient.

"Fabulous Tuscan Villa"

10.0

Villa Bordoni is truly a hidden gem in every way! The staff couldn’t be more helpful. We stayed 6 nights and wish it had been longer. Our room was the limonaia suite. A perfect private couple’s retreat complete with an outside covered patio. The views from the Villa of the Tuscan landscape are breathtaking. Dining is fabulous - there’s an outside garden area and an outside covered terrace as well as a cozy inside dining room. Dinners were always delicious and freshly prepared. This a destination not to be missed.

"5 to 1 star due to racism"

2.0

I signed up for the cooking class based on all the glowing reviews—and I have to say, the class itself was excellent. Maria, the chef who taught us, was warm, skilled, and made the experience truly memorable. If I were reviewing only the class and Maria, this would absolutely be a 5-star review. Unfortunately, what happened afterward completely overshadowed that experience. After the class, my family joined me about an hour later for dinner at the restaurant. One of the staff offered me half a bottle of white wine, saying it was included with my cooking class and was for our table and family. I gratefully accepted. However, when the bill arrived, I noticed we had been charged for the wine. I calmly raised the issue with the server, but instead of clarifying or resolving it, the owner—who was present that evening—intervened. Rather than handling the situation professionally, he began raising his voice and accusing us of trying to get free wine, even though I explained that it had been offered to us by his own staff, and it wasn’t even a full bottle. The conversation escalated quickly due to his aggressive tone, but I chose to pay the bill and leave to avoid further conflict. As I was walking out, the owner, still visibly angry, made a racist, sarcastic comment—saying I should “send more people like myself from my country.” I am Indian, and that remark was deeply offensive and completely unacceptable. While I truly appreciated the cooking class and Maria’s kindness and professionalism, the behavior I experienced from the owner was appalling. No one should be spoken to that way, and racism of any kind has no place in any business. My one-star rating reflects that.

"Amazing experience!"

10.0

The team at Villa Bordoni was very welcoming and helpful. We were recommended a few vineyard tours which were excellent. The restaurant on site is fantastic and we also had the opportunity to join the cooking class. It was a great experience to be in the commercial kitchen. The chef conducted the class like a professional, always engaging with all 8 of us in the class. We had a lot of fun and also was a great way to interact with other guests in the villa. My room (Mezzoula) was very spacious. The design of the room was traditional, but was well refurbished. The bathroom was very clean and water pressure was excellent. I had an amazing stay and I will definitely be back. Its truly a Tuscan experience that shouldn't be missed!

"Beautiful Villa"

10.0

What a charming hotel. The setting is stunning in the Chianti hills with vines and olive trees as far as the eyes can see. We stayed in the Colognole suite and it was spacious, light and beautifully decorated. It was a very comfortable stay for 3 nights. All of the staff were superb. In particular the reception team who kindly carried our bags in and out, and the wait staff at both breakfast and dinner who were both efficient and friendly. The pool and surrounds were a welcome respite from the heat. The breakfasts were superb and we ate lunch there once, but that was also very good. The evening meals weren’t quite as good. The starters were good but the mains were quite average. The steaks were undercooked and sinewy, the fish was bland, the potato raclette undercooked. The pastas we shared on another night were both delicious. So for us the dinners were a bit hit and miss and we felt that the quality of the food didn’t live up to the high standards of the rest of the hotel. We would recommend the Villa to you as overall it is fabulous.
