"Highly recommend this place if you want a different experience, with beautiful location"

10.0

We loved the location right next to the beach, great view on terrace, cute little apartment, had microwave and fridge, Franca was the best hostess, she had yummy meatballs and arracini when we arrived, the next day we went to Alberobello and when we came back she had prepared 2 lovely seafood dishes, my husband said the best he had tasted,

"A wonderfully unforgettable night"

10.0

Honestly I don't know where to start - we arrived to a very warm welcome, along with warm food and homemade wine waiting for us. The room was cozy and had a lovely novelty to its intimacy. The terrace was amazing too. A full week in Puglia and breakfast on the terrace was a real highlight.

I can't say anything bad about the experience! Perhaps the bathroom and height of the room is small for some but in this case, luckily my wife and I aren't above average height!

"Simple accomm but incredible location and the most amazing host"

10.0

Mrs Franca is literally the most amazing host I've ever met while travelling, and I travel 9 months of the year. She was waiting for me when I arrived, showed me the room and explained everything through Google Translate (I speak no Italian) and then took me to the terrace to show me the view and take photos for me. She left me fresh fruit from their family orchard, let me check out late and leave my suitcase, kept putting food into my bag when I was trying to leave haha and was just all-round one of those unforgettable people you meet on the road. I wish I spoke Italian because I would have loved to have a proper conversation with her ❤️ In terms of the room itself, it was low-ceilinged but spacious enough, the bed was decent, air con/heating worked fine, well-equipped mini kitchen with kettle, fridge and microwave. Location is super ideal, right behind the beach and close to loads of restaurants.

The location does mean that it's quite loud with people walking by, particularly on a Friday night with drunk people stumbling home, but ear plugs blocked out the noise and the location is worth the compromise. The WiFi also isn't very strong but I had 5G signal in the room so just switched to that instead.

"Very authentic, host is the best!"

10.0

The Apartment is veery close to the beach and the centre. You‘ll get a very authentic experience in this apartment. The host Franca is the very best, she made us feel like at home and gave us a glance at the Monopoli way of living. Grazie mille per tutti!

La signora Franca is a wonderful person, who cattered to us so well, she told us the story of the place, her family there, going back several generations of fishermen, and how old the space is. It was all very enriching, and made us value the spot. It is superbly positioned, right in the historical center. It's hard to get more historical, as the place is actually originally part of the side church, and was built in 1620. It's tiny but we'll organized and kept, very well located, and was a unique experience.

"Amazing host, beautiful room and terrace at a great location"

10.0

I will start with the real highlight of the place, Franca, the host. She greeted us when we arrived and told us about the building and about Monopoly. I will say that she doesn't speak any English, but you will be surprised how much you can understand with a few hand gestures, Google Translate, and a huge smile! She also took us to see the amazing rooftop terrace. Franca stocked the apartment with some snacks, coffee, and a bottle of homemade wine, and to top it all, she also brought very very tasty meals that she made herself. From the second we arrived, it was clear just how much Farnca loves the apartment, the city of Monopoly, and especially hosting. As for the apartment itself, it is ancient, almost 700 years old, according to Franca. It is spacious and clean. It is on the ground floor on a relatively busy street in a great location in the old town, but there wasn't a lot of noise coming in, and the AC works well. Franca, if you read this, we want to say again, Grazie mille! We will definitely stay at your place again if we come back to Monopoly.

The wifi could be stronger and more stable, but if it is essential for you, I have a solution! Franca has another place on the floor above, it is called Casa Roberto. I believe that the router is located there. Another thing is the bathroom, it is small, and the doorway is low, that is the fault of the building being so ancient, obviously, it was not planned to have a modern bathroom 700 years ago, that is just a quirk that is to be expected in such place, we didn't see it as a dealbreaker, it just added to the room's charm.

Excellent location, next to the church San Vito, 3 min walk to bars, restaurants, and the beach. Amazing sea view of the terrace. The owner was super polite she even preprared us a traditional Italian lunch and left it in the room while we were on the beach. Definitely recommend it.

"Original sailors cottage, with all the amenities, incredible hospitality and perfect location in old town!"

10.0

Where to start! We LOVED our stay here!! We were greeted by the hosts mother who is a divine woman - she pointed out all the features of the room, took us up to the rooftop terrace and even took a photo for us, she offered to bring us some home made food that was simply the most delicious food we had during our Monopoli visit. The hospitality was unmatched and I felt like we were welcomed into the family - it was so special, we even hugged goodbye! The location was so perfect too - a two minute stroll down to Cala Porta Vecchia beach. The room was spotless and the bed was made up and towels checked each day. It was the prefect base for us! We took the train in so had experience trying to park - but it was easy to walk the 20 mins from the train station. We would recommend staying there - as an original sailors cottage it was awesome to stay in a part of history in the old town!

We had no issues with this, but the shower was over the toilet (kind of like on a sailing boat! Very fitting for the room!!). Again we had no issue with this - it because you’re staying in old town you get some noise at night from other tourists exploring the area. We slept fine though - no problems for us :)
