GROTTA SAN VITO

Izjemna gostiteljica Franca, ki nam je vsak dan napolnila hladilnik z domačimi italijanskimi dobrotami: testeninami, ricotto, domačo mozarello, jajčevci s parmezanom... Prav zaradi nje mi bo Monopoli ostal v najlepšem spominu. Apartma ima izjemno lokacijo, ko stopiš iz sobe, si na eni od ulic v peš coni. Imeli smo srečo in parkirali na brezplačnem parkirišču (bela črta) 200 m od apartmaja, skoraj vedno pa je bilo nekaj prostih mest na plačljivem parkirišču ob mestni plaži. Terasa na vrhu stavbe je super dodatek, vendar do nje vodi veliko strmih stopnic. Klima deluje v redu.

Soba je precej temačna, ima samo dvoje delno zastekljenih leseni vrat. Kopalnica je miniaturna, gre za t.i. wet room, računajte na to, da je po tuširanju moker celoten prostor, tudi wc školjka. Kot nam je omenila Franca, razmišljajo o prenovi.

Absolutely exceptional accommodation – right by the sea and in the heart of Monopoli, with truly outstanding service. We felt completely at home here, and it was an unforgettable experience.

The owner was so lovely and friendly. The homemade focaccia was delicious, as was the wine. The communal terrace was spectacular! Amazing night in an interesting property. Super location in Monopoli for Via Francigena hiking.

I’m nearly 6 foot - mind your head!!

Just like staying at grandma’s, in the heart of Monopoli! Our stay at Grotta San Vito was truly unforgettable. The accommodation is in a beautifully restored traditional grotto that preserves its historical charm while offering all modern comforts. Our host, Franca, was the heart and soul of the experience – a true Italian "nonna": warm, caring, and always smiling. She welcomed us with a glass of local wine and had prepared delicious traditional food just for us. It was a touching gesture that made us feel immediately at home. The location is full of character, right in the historical center, next to the San Vito church. The building also features a rooftop terrace with a stunning panoramic view over the whole town – especially breathtaking at sunset. The place is very clean and the bed very comfortable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience, genuine hospitality, and a taste of real Italian life. We’ll definitely come back!

It did not bother us at all but if you are a light sleeper take into account that you are in the historical center which is crowded and the noise from the street can bother some.

Great location! Amazing vieuw from the terrace! The host was very friendly and made feel really welcome. The bathroom is small but everything works perfectly. Well equiped apartment with a lot of amenities and it's also clean. I recommend it!

The just is unbelievable. The best and most generous we have experienced and we have travelled all over the world. Home made wine, arancini, focaccia and buffalo mozzarella. The location is perfect. Free parking in the street nearby.

We had a fantastic time in Monopoli at Grotta San Vito. Comfortable and clean accommodation in the old town, close to restaurants and bars, perfect for a couple. Thank you Franca for the amazing hospitality! Grazie mille per tutti!

It was very easy to collect the keys from the host. She was very friendly and kind. Thanks for your kind heart, clean and cosy place to stay and your care!
