Vanessa, Dick (Besitzer), Lindi und Sarah (Angestellte) waren ganz toll. Immer ein offenes Ohr und immer einen guten Tipp zur Hand. Die Gegend traumhaft, das Haus traumhaft. Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich! Ganz toll fanden wir, dass es einen Salzwasser-Pool gab. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Sehr angenehmes Haus mit idealer Ausstattung für Liebhaber von Sonne, Stand, Steilküsten und dem Surfsport. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, ein feiner Pool und sehr nette Betreuung durch die Eigentümer, selbst begeisterte Surfer. Selbst kochen in einer Gemeinschaftsküche mit großem Aufenthaltsraum sorgt fürs Kennenlernen von anderen Gästen

We had the most incredible stay at Birds of Paradise in Aljezur. It’s one of those places where everything feels intentional yet completely relaxed. The design is beautiful without being overdone, and it’s full of thoughtful touches—natural soaps, super comfy beds, a filtered water station in the kitchen, and an overall calming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The location is great for exploring the area, though you’ll need a car to get to the beaches and surrounding areas —Arrifana and Monte Clérigo were our favourites, both absolutely stunning. Onsite parking makes it super easy to come and go. Vanessa, Dick, and Jennifer were all fantastic - Warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Vanessa and Dick helped organise brilliant surf lessons with friendly, patient instructors, and Jennifer had great recommendations for live music and places to eat that made our evenings even more special. Breakfast was a real highlight—different every day, homemade, locally sourced and so delicious. You can really feel how much love and care has gone into every part of this place. It’s calm, well-run, and clearly built with heart and purpose. We're already planning our trip back! 🩵

Super netter Gastgeber alles mit sehr viel Liebe für Detail und Design umgesetzt. Frühstück war gut für uns Erwachsene, für die Kinder gab es nicht so viel Auswahl. Gastgeber sehr hilfsbereit und super freundlich. Hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Sonnenschirm etc. gegen kleinen Preis zum Ausleihen! kann man definitiv weiter empfehlen. Schöne kleine Unterkunft mit familiären Charakter.

Our hosts Dick and Vanessa really do care that you get everything from your visit you wish for. I already miss the hand -made soap and shampoo. Careful touches are apparent everywhere you look.

The lack of aircon in the bedroom was a problem as the mozzie count locally is high and although the small window had a mosquito screen, for some real air throughput - we needed the big window open, and then some antihistamine cream in the morning!
