Yelum and his family were such brilliant hosts. If you want a simple spot with great food close to the waves and centre of Midigama, look no further.

We arrived late and he woke up to welcome us. Very nice guy the price is low and seems appropriate for what you get.

Very poorly maintained room, in the middle of the night the fan broke down and it was very difficult to fall asleep with the heat without air conditioning, it was uncomfortable

Quiet atmosphere, relaxed setting and attracts a nice crowd Also breakfast granola was the delicious - yelum is the best !

That i had to leave !

Sri Lankan rice & coconut muesli with fresh fruits and curd was an excellent breakfast option. They let us help ourselves to tea and coffee which was great. It was a short easy stroll to the beach. And the train station is very close. Great place for dinner just down the road at Chill out cafe. Lovely family runs the guesthouse.

Could do with a little touch up - rooms downstairs need a little maintenance and would be nice to be provided with basics like soap and shampoo, a bath mat and more comfortable pillows. We had the luxury of staying in the brand new big room upstairs which was very nice but the rest of the family were down stairs in older rooms that need some maintenance. But the family is super nice and helpful.

Yelum and his family provide such a welcoming and comfortable stay. The garden is like an oasis away from hustle of main road. Rooms are clean and comfortable and sitting on the porch breakfast is served with a range of options made by Yelum mother, the coconut roti and dhal a highlight for me and granola yogurt and fresh fruit and banana pancakes for my family. Yelum organised an airport pickup at midnight for us and welcomed us at 3 am. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful garden, the owners are so friendly and accomodating and the location is really close to all the cafes and restaurants in Midigama and walking distance to the two best surf spots around. I felt right at home here as a solo fem traveller!
