gardens are beautiful and staff very friendly -they stayed up for us as we came back after 20.00 from a wedding thank you

the signage at old gate has not been moved to new gate -everything was closed when we arrived saturday afternoon -had to phone and heared that there is a new gate. Furniture in room needs attention -one table’s legs have water damage , curtain drops are not same length, no hair dryer in unit, no air freshner in toilet , a mirror above table in room would be appreciated and floor was not very clean

Their breakfast 🥓🍳, 5 stars 🌟 compliments to the chefs kind of thing 👌🏽. I’m sure it’s one things everyone enjoyed waking up to in the morning. The property is at a kind of off the grid location which offers quiet and pleasant environment 😁. The location is best found using the Google maps address “MixoSunrise Guesthouse & Spa” rather than the address here on Bookings. The staff was welcoming and understanding as it was easy to arrange a late check-in 😌.

Not much but I would like to go there again when renovations on the other units are completed so that a group (family or friends) can be placed in their own chalet on the property and not mixed in with others separated by rooms only.

We booked this accommodation because it was advertised as only 1.7 km from the wedding venue we were attending. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a 15-minute drive, with access via a poorly maintained gravel road that was very difficult to navigate with a sedan. I believe management should clearly state this, as it could be a challenge for many guests. On arrival, we were welcomed by friendly staff, and the gardens were beautifully designed and well maintained. Our room made a good first impression, with a comfortable king-size bed, quality bedding, and good pillows. The setting around the pool was tranquil and relaxing. However, several issues dampened our stay. The advertised hot tub was out of order, which was disappointing. Even more concerning was the water supply. On the first evening, there was no hot water until we complained, after which water was restored temporarily. By the next morning, there was no water at all, and we were told to use a bathroom in the main house. That bathroom was in poor condition, with missing tiles, mold on the ceiling, and unusable fittings. Breakfast, included in our package, was served buffet-style but with no staff around to assist or explain. While the pineapple and strawberries were fresh and juicy, some fruit (like the apples) were already discolored. The scrambled eggs and bacon were decent, but the Vienna sausages were a very cheap alternative. In the room, we also noticed there was no milk provided to go with the coffee and tea. Overall, this property has a lot of potential, with lovely gardens, friendly staff, and comfortable bedding. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency, poor maintenance, and small but important details made the stay disappointing. With proper attention to these issues, it could be an excellent option — but for now, it falls short.
