Platis Residence Villa

The property is in an excellent location in Oia with great views all around.

The property is run remotely like an Airbnb with no on-site receptionist. There was no one to meet us at the property at 3pm for check-in so I had to call Paz after waiting 15-20 minutes to see how we could enter our room. The man coming to check us in was “running late” but this was not communicated to us until I reached out. Once we entered the property, he made me help him fix the balcony umbrella - this should’ve been done before our check-in. On our third day there, we got a knock on the door from the man who came with a “technician”. He looked surprised to find us in our room and awkwardly started telling me about the check-out process (he’s already messaged me this earlier in the morning). They looked like they would’ve entered the property if we weren’t present and answered the door. He asked if they could enter to inspect the moisture damage on the walls, however this was an uncomfortable experience as we were trying to relax in our room and this could definitely have been done after we’d checked out. The air conditioner / heating also did not work which is also mentioned in other reviews. Complimentary water is not provided and must be requested through Paz. Housekeeping also hung up our dirty towels to reuse which we’d placed on the floor to be replaced - this was resolved once requested through Paz.

The location was the best in Oia, it is exactly where everything is happening in Oia. The place was huge, super clean and very relaxing. The best part was the staff/hosts. They were so accommodating and always communicating. They took care of all our needs, even our laundry!

The only surprise we had was that the shower was in the basement. Not that it is a deal breaker but it was just a first for us to have to go to the basement to take a shower.

The hotel's location is perfect, it's on one of the highest points of Oia, which is one of the reasons why the view from the terrace on the Caldera, Oia and the sea is fabulous, and while others crowd the street looking for the beautiful view, you can enjoy it all from your terrace or jacuzzi! The jacuzzi on the terrace is a good size, just like the apartment itself. The host Paz was always available, and any request or question that arose, he found a solution and help almost immediately, for which I thank you again! I recommend the accommodation, you won't find a better value for money accommodation in Oia!

The bathroom is very small, but still usable.

The house is literally like you could imagine but better, for the 2 days I stayed there It totally felt like a dream. The pool is the highest in the area with outstanding caldera views that you will enjoy whithout feeling like everyones watching you. The house is totally separated in 2 areas by its own elevator, so It is possible for 2 couples to enjoy the place while having their own privacy. The pool is in the upper area and in the lower one you will have more views with your own private sauna in the bottom Finally, the host were super helpful, we had no idea how to use the sauna and they came to show us how. 10/10 would totally recommend

For sure, the price is expensive. But It wouldnt be realistic to think this accomodation can be cheap. Take it as an experience you have to feel.
