Beavers Retreat - Glamping with Hot Tubs options

The site is very well maintained. Facilities are good, we stayed in a cosy dome and we were cosy and comfortable.

The site is extremely well kept, very clean and tidy. The domes are spacious and well laid out. The pitches are very private and roomy. facilities are clean and everything you need. The hot tub is very relaxing. The location is really good, but unfortunately there's no close convenience store.

Trains go past every 20 mins or so. We were in original dome 3, which is right at the edge of the track, and because of the level crossing nearby they all sound their hooter when the pass. It can sound like they're inside the dome with you! They stop around 11PM apart from the odd one. but start again early in the morning. You kind of get used to it, but not completely.

Lovely relaxing setting with good space around the eco dome. The manager Tom was excellent, very welcoming and on hand if required.

A stunning location, and the site was immaculately kept and tidy.

Nothing. The weather was the only problem - it rained heavily so our bedding got a bit damp at night and didn’t dry out - next time I might book a dome with a stove!

only downfall we went though so many bags of wood trying to keep it warm and it never seemed to heat up
