The staff is not up to five-star standards. They give the impression of working against their will, are sometimes overly familiar, rarely smile, seldom greet guests, and can even be borderline aggressive. In short, the staff lacks professionalism, which is unacceptable for a five-star establishment.

The location is beautiful and the golf course is very good. The spa staff were wonderful. The spa itself was okay- a lot of calcium buildup meant the showers weren’t particularly effective. The room was a good size and very clean. The set up was very good for longer stays with lots of sufficient storage and a good layout.

Literally everything was extra and the service was not very good. Easily the worst value for money I have ever experienced. The food at all the restaurants is overpriced and not good at all. When ordering steak rare, it came extra well done. The shrimps and ceviche were not good at all. Some pasta at olivios was okay, as was the octopus. It is very difficult to get around as the property is large. There are golf carts, and the guys driving them are lovely, but getting them to come in a reasonable time frame was challenging. On more than one occasion we waited over 45 mins. They don’t follow the schedule at all. The service at the restaurants, bars and proshop was more often than not, disappointing. There is a lot of waiting for someone to acknowledge you and then you would get food and no cutlery, or would get food before getting a wine menu. The price simply did not match the service level (there were exceptions, of course, but overall we came to expect bad service) The beach set up was also very amateur. After paying 20-25€ for an umbrella, you would end up at a spot covered in sand, with leftover dishes from previous guests. Simply zero service.

The location is incredible—perched on the Kavarna Hills with amazing sea views. The gardens are really well looked after, full of flowers, and the whole place feels calm and peaceful. Staff were genuinely kind and professional. I really enjoyed the food—Geti is great for a finer dining, while Argata has a more relaxed, beachy vibe. I’ve been to a lot of places, and it’s rare I have nothing to complain about—but Thracian Cliffs honestly left me impressed especially given it was not even high season and we don’t play golf.
