Amazing experience from beginning to end. Seamless check-in, received excelent recommendations for activities and restaurants. Very friendly and warm hosts. Amazing location and view from the living room.

Everything was perfect

This is a true gem! We arrived early but texted the owner who got there after a few minutes. The welcome was very warm with lots of information about the history of the house, things to do and places to go in the surrounding areas etc. There were also welcome drinks and snacks that were served on the beautiful terrace with a great view of the forests and the town below. The whole house was lovingly decorated, the rooms were very well laid out and the beds super comfortable. The bathrooms were small but very clean and the shower was lovely. One of the best things was the breakfast that we could choose from a menu and was prepared for us freshly every morning by the host's parents (it's a true family business). We could eat it at a time of our choice and enjoyed the fresh air and the view from the terrace while eating. Communication was pleasant and we got by with a mix of English (the host) and French (the parents). We had a wonderful stay (unfortunately, two days only) and would really love to come back one day!

Great location outside the town of Manteigas with lovely views of the nearby hills and forests. Lots of peace and quiet. We were hosted by the exceptional Ilda and Alberto - very friendly and extremely helpful. They welcomed us with beer, which was very welcome due to the high temperatures. They showed us the house and the room and all the amenities available to us (a large garden, deck chairs and hammocks and a beautifully decorated living room with a dining area for all guests). Alberto provided us with a map of attractions in the area and indicated which places he thought were worth a visit. We also got recommendations for restaurants in Manteigas and nearby towns. Pedro (son) was in touch with us all the time and also sent us a list of recommended places in the area. The room was very spacious and comfortable - beautifully finished. Daily cleaning and replacement of towels. We had those included in the price served a delicious breakfast prepared on site by Ilda. All three showed great concern for our onward journey, as we were traveling near fire areas. We were given clear instructions on what roads were currently closed and where to check what information on a regular basis - it was very caring and nice!

The place is amazing! Very peaceful and calm. The owners are so sweet that I felt as I visited my grandparents.
