EPIC, we loved watching the moonlight dance over the Sea and hearing waves all night. Having coffee & breakfast on the veranda was the best way to start our days of discovery.

It’s all good really. Just know you will carry your luggage up/down stairs. If you’re able, it’s worth it!

Thank you Rita and Pedro for our top stay out of 5 we had in Azores. Actually the best we ever had :-). The place itself is marvellous with private beach, very nice room. The homemade breakfast with the view over the ocean was great. Easy check in and check out. We happen to visit Villa Franca on the "White night", when all the community geathered in the center - it was a nice experience for us.

Everything! Rita and Pedro, the two Catarina’s, were wonderful. The property is impeccably kept, attention to detail in everything they do is spot on. The views and sounds of the ocean were amazing.

A Villa By The Sea is beautifully located right on the shore. Each room offers stunning views of the ocean and the Islet of Vila Franca. The guesthouse is beautifully designed with very nice gardens and common areas. Rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. It is conveniently located within a walking distance to the beach. You can also walk to the fishing port and the marina where many water-sport centers are located and where you can book your whale watching trip or take the shuttle to the lagoon. Good restaurants are nearby. The owners of the villa are lovely, very friendly and can offer suggestions on places to visit. We had a birthday celebration and instead of going out we've decided to have dinner at the Villa. Rita and Pedro cooked fresh tuna for us which they garnished with vegetables straight from Rita's father' garden. Food was super delicious! We loved every minute of our stay there and plan on coming back next year!

The bathroom in our room was rather small but it was functional and it didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay.
