What’s not to love in this amazing hotel? Everything is 10/10. Caring and friendly staff with personalized attention, location, view, rooms, food, etc. Could it be the best place I ever stayed in?

Great localisation with the river and sea view. Large and comfortable rooms. Delicious food and plenty experiences in the offer. And what it’s so important, friendly and helpful people work there, supporting on every step on the trip.

Stray dog around.

Lovely setting, very big bedroom, helpful staff, great pool and proximity to the national park. Very clean and quiet and they do a great job at minimising the impact of insects. We had a lovely massage for 120.000 COP each.

There was no door to the toilet in the bedroom so privacy was limited. Whilst there was a balcony in our room it was very narrow and didn’t really have a view (that seemed to be the case for all rooms) so you couldn’t sit out on it. The food was hit and miss, especially breakfast. I had a pancake on one day which was very thick and completely raw in the middle. The sun loungers seemed quite short - everyone’s feet were hanging off the end! The WiFi was patchy and often cut out. We were told before we arrived that there was a running circuit near the hotel but when we asked about this at check in we were met with a black expression. Generally lacking some luxurious touches like robes in the bedrooms and better sun loungers. There are also some ‘low hanging fruits’ that could be offered to guests like fresh coconuts during the day. We were asked twice to leave a review. Once is ok, I accept that they are important, but twice felt a bit pushy!

Being on this side of the national park was like being in the park without all the tourists. My husband and I often found ourselves on the beach alone or with very few people. The in room couples massage was amazing.

Villa Playa Tayrona was an exceptional stay for my partner and I. We felt pampered by the staff, who were so helpful and cooked the most delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pool was beautiful. The scenery was incredible. You’re right in the middle of the jungle! The location is remote, but that’s part of the appeal. Manuel was able to make great suggestions for the area and accommodate us when we had to check in late at night and check out a bit late as well. He also helped us arrange massages and a taxi to Tayrona National Park. While we didn’t have hot water in the shower, the air temperature outside was pleasant so it was not a big deal. The AC in the room worked great. Highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic small hotel comprised of only a few rooms, and it feels like having the property to yourself. Tasty food and cocktails. Rooms are large and comfortable; AC works well.

We liked most everything. Perhaps water pressure can be better in the sinks and the shower.
