The Riverside

A favourite hotel to stay as part of our annual Thames Meander - rowing down the river. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable - plus many have three beds which make them ideal for group trips. A lovely spot on the river by Lechlade Bridge.

As we like to be away early (by 8am), serving breakfast from 9am on a Saturday is too late for us.

The location was excellent. The pub was very nice. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was exceptional.

There was nothing not to like…

A bit pricey.

Location next to river

Car park was full so had to wait until 10pm for all tourists to go before we could park. Didn’t like room being located away from the riverside hotel it was opposite end of car park

Il nostro alloggio era praticamente un appartamento. Molto spazioso e confortevole (abbiamo soggiornato in 5). Letti comodi. Piccolo angolo con boiler per prepararsi la colazione. Parcheggio compreso nel prezzo presso il piccolo piazzale sottostante. Giusto di fronte a noi c'era il pub con ottimi piatti e un'atmosfera unica. Affacciato sul Tamigi. Il personale molto cordiale e paziente. Ci tornerei subito.

Se devo trovare un difetto, un po' rumoroso a causa del via-vai di auto e moto dei frequentatori del pub. Ma niente che non si potesse risolvere con dei tappi per le orecchie, che tra l'altro io uso sempre. Per cui siamo stati davvero benissimo

Very clean and comfortable

Evening meal was very good and in a very good location. Service was good. Unfortunately the next morning was one of the days they did not do breakfast.

De ligging aan de rivier de Thames was erg mooi, naast de brug. Het was te fris maar je kon daar heerlijk zitten. Leuke pub waar je goed kon eten. Geen ontbijt alleen in het weekend maar was niet erg. Tegenover de Inn waren de kamers. Heel ruim en gezellig, met grote badkamer. Het leuke dorp was om de hoek, met bakker, supermarkt en leuke restaurants/ pubs. Heerlijk en gezellig gegeten bij the Swan! Vanuit daar verder de Cotswolds in! Aanrader!

The location was ideal, sat outside with a glass of wine watching swans and cygnets swimming by. Listening to the birds, quite idyllic, especially with all the twinkling lights. Staff were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Apartment was large, comfortable and spotless with plentiful tea/ coffee etc.

On our short stay, there wasn't anything to dislike. Very happy with everything.
