The City Arms

The room was extremely spacious and although it was directly above the pub it was fairly quiet. Right in the town centre.

No door on bathroom. Although it didn't necessarily bother us, it may be an issue for others. No parking.

The room was good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Although it was above a pub, midweek we were not at all disturbed and the pub was virtually empty when we went to bed. Very quiet and comfy night's sleep.

The bathroom needed a bit of an update

The location as was near the town to meet family. The room was very clean and the staff as very friendly and I would recommend The City Arms to family and friends as it’s very close to the town and the Cathedral.

No parking near the hotel, and for older people I think would be difficult, and the stairs leading up to the rooms. But there wasn’t many negative points for me to add.

Ticked all the boxes we wanted ticked, especially location !!! Thank you City Arms.....

There was nothing not to like other than a 10am check-out is perhaps a little early .....

Location, location, location. They have only 3 rooms, really small outfit. Very friendly staff, clean, cozy. We would definitely come again. No parking but we could unload our bags in front. Princess Car park is very close by and that’s where we parked.

Just FYI: restaurant is closed so no evening meals and no breakfast. This is however NO problem since there are plenty of restaurants just down the road on High street. Rooms are above Pub/Inn but we heard hardly anything- and it closed well before our bedtime 😴. Room was rather warm (Summer🌞) but a ventilator was provided which helped.
