Great location, friendly staff, large room in a historic building. Nice pub below with live music on a Friday (finishes by 10pm)

The main showerhead was a little clogged but there was a handheld showerhead too so no problem

Great location, very roomy, good sized shower and bathroom.

Creaky bed, door was difficult to open as it caught on the carpet, took a long time to run hot water.

Great location to access all of Wells town centre, parking a short walk away on car park next to bus station. Very attractive and welcoming atmosphere with a well planted courtyard area, especially the scented climbing jasmine! Interesting, although appalling, history to the place as the former Tudor jail.

Pillows slightly hard for my husband's liking. Depending on how you view things, Friday night is a live music night so we were glad we were there on a Thursday, although any music we heard from the bar below ended just after10.30pm.

The room size was good and the bathroom was larger than I expected. Everything seemed clean. The location was very good. It was an easy walk to the cathedral, restaurants, coffee shops, and everything we wanted to see in Wells. It was quiet on a Monday night so there was no noise from the bar downstairs.

Location is great. Price is also appropriated.

The pillows were really high and firm. Too much for me.
