The City Arms

Excellent location. We were on the High Street and close to Cathedral, Bishops Palace, shops and restaurants. The Wednesday market complete with Town Crier was an unexpected bonus. The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The lighting in the shower room was very good.

We were the room above the bar so we could hear the other customers. Also the window had Venetian blinds which we needed to close for privacy as opposed to light as there was seating just outside our window.

Unusual pub, beautiful flowers on the balcony outside the rooms,clean room and en-suite

THE BEDS!! Truly awful! The springs in the mattress dug into my body, the pillows were bricks; didn’t sleep for most of the night because of back ache and neck pain.
