A very warm welcome from the friendly, efficient staff. This is a charming historic hotel with real character. Very good breakfast and evening meal menu looked fantastic, but I didn't need that. I got a very good price through Booking.com, so good, in fact, that this was cheaper than a budget chain but worlds apart and included breakfast.

A desk in the room would have been nice.

There is limited parking, but u can park for free between 6 in the eve and 8 next morning, but then u need to get up to put a ticket on your car

We booked last minute and had the loveliest stay at The Marlborough! The staff were all so lovely and friendly and welcomed our dog too. We stayed in The Library which was a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. The location is great for exploring Marlborough. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Dinner was lovely. The room was small (as expected) but had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent.

The fried eggs at breakfast were somewhat underdone for my taste; perhaps I should have asked for them over easy. We couldn't get in the car park without blocking someone in, so we parked close by in the High Street, which was free overnight and cost £2.35 for a couple of hours in the morning, 8-10.
