staff was lovely, bed was comfy, clean room, nice en-suite

very hot - granted i did stay during the heatwave but the room felt hotter than outside

Location really good and quirky theming was fun.

No tea/coffee in the room, and breakfast was fine though more DIY than I was expecting for the price.

Perfect location for us...out of the commercial area and near the river walk, bishop's palace and cathedral. Quiet even though our room was on the main street, lovely breakfast and service.

We arrived early from Heathrow and waited in The Black Boy. They were very accommodating but it a cold and dingy arrival. We announced our early arrival (unavoidable given our flight time from San Francisco) but apparently no accommodation was possible. A very small inconvenience in a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Brilliant location for the event I was attending, comfortable, quirky, heartily recommend to anyone staying in Winchester!

Breakfast was amazing, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable bed. Weather was lovely so the walk into town was great. Fab pub next door.

Slight lack of attention regarding cleanliness of shower and one towel (hair on both, but didn't find it necessary to mention to staff). Otherwise, amazing stay.
