The Black Hole

Very quirky & comfortable b&b. Hosts were very friendly & staff who served breakfast were lovely & very efficient. Room had under floor heating & the bed was super comfy! Short walk along the riverside to centre of town which is lit at night with lampposts. Would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Winchester. A very lucky find! Oh the pub next door is great. Also very quirky & lovely pit stop before going to bed!

The only thing I would say is there’s no tea/coffee facilities in the room so you have to go downstairs into the main dining room where there’s a machine that provides coffee/hot chocolate/hot water for tea if u want a drink early b4 b/fast but it wouldn’t put me off staying here again

A really lovely and quirky property, very clean and everything one could need. A fabulous cooked breakfast to start the day. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The room was very warm despite turning down the thermostat all the way. Didn’t detract from a wonderful stay.

The Black Hole is a wonderful place to stay, quirky decor, fabulous staff, delicious breakfasts and a comfortable bed in a room with everything you need. Emma and the team make you really welcome, nothing is too much trouble, and they are happy to suggest things to see and do, along with directions! Will definitely be returning sometime.
