nice staff, good value for money

It was clean and we had a private bath. The host carried our heave suitcases up to second floor were our room was.

The surroundings were so ugly! There was a huge dirt and rock pile with some tarps covering part of it. That was right next to the place’s balconies. The front of the property was a huge dirt road.Also you could not see the river behind it from anywhere on the property, and there was no where in the back to sit anyway. Our room was so small that we had to put one suitcase on the bed to open and edge around the one on the floor as it took up almost all of the tiny floor space. My mistake but no kitchen at all. Not even a place to heat water.

Very Friendly owner and staff. Hot showers. Fast wifi. More than 25 exotic birds just from the balcony including 1 toucan, 3 different, parrots, 5 different hummingbirds, 2 different tangiers... just during my stay. Fantastic.

Lacks sound privacy...., but is by far the best value in Mindo. .. everything else is great.

The owns were very kind and hard working. Great locations.

The bed was comfortable and the balcony area was a lovely place to relax and watch the birds. Fernando and his wife were super friendly and helpful, they even drove us into town when they saw we were about to walk in. It’s the perfect place to go tubing and do other activities from. Don’t be put off that it’s not in the centre, it’s still easily walking distance. The restaurant next door, My Little Venezia, did the best arepas we’ve had in South America.

Nothing major! The walls are a bit thin so you do hear a lot of noise but after a days exploring you’re tired enough that it doesn’t matter. It would have been nice to have some filtered water available for guests too. We had filtered water bottles and were fine with the tap water but a lot of people don’t have them. On booking.com there’s a suggestion that breakfast, lunch and dinner is available for $3. That wasn’t the case when we were there so that probably needs clarifying or removing in the property description.

The room had a spare bed in. Could organise activities through staff if wanting to. Nice pet cats.

SO so loud - the worst nights’ sleep we’ve had all holiday. The staff sleep in the next room and played music/ chatted into the evening and then again from around 6am. You can hear every word and the floor shakes with any movement. We banged on the wall to get them to be quiet but it didn’t change things. The curtains are also very thin so let all the light in. It is also on the main road out of town to all the activities in the area - so cars and motorbikes go past often. The restaurant next door plays music loudly too - even on a Sunday night.

the curtains were very thin and we would wake up early because of the light, the bathroom window doesn’t have curtains which is not ideal in terms of privacy. walls are very thin too so we could always hear the owners and other guests talk
