Room was warm and comfortable. Shower was good.

When I booked I wasn't aware that no food would be available.... Ended up driving out further to find somewhere to eat after spending all day driving already. Not big on dogs and there plenty of them..... Leaving by back exit in morning very odd...

We stayed in one of their cottages, which was spacious and had some kitchen facilities and a fridge. It was lovely and warm in both sitting area and bedroom. We had a very good breakfast on Boxing Day. It's nice to have a friendly bar available!

Everything was very good! It's a good location for us, because we have family living locally, but it is a few miles away from York and we needed to use our car to get to restaurants. I prefer a bath, but our shower was powerful and hot.

This property was clean, friendly staff, great food (breakfast) and cheap drinks.

If I was to stay at this property again, I would check the gate fob/gate opened from the outside going in, as had great difficulty getting back in. Where my partner had to climb the wall to open this from the inside.

Phenomenal place! Comfy cosy yet spacious warm rooms with everything accommodated for. Drink with the locals by night, very welcoming. Full English breakfast extra, but exceptional price and quality too.

Friendly welcome and very cosy and comfortable stay. Had a couple of drinks and the locals were very friendly and chatty. We had a great evening. Great little place and well worth a visit. We didn't have breakfast as we had to make an early start but the visitors book in our room suggests it is very good!
