"A very run-down option but clean and convenient."

The Gladstone is in a good location for visiting Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. The village of Fairlie is quiet but quaint with nice cafes and a supermarket.

The reviews of the Gladstone don’t lie. It’s a bit grim. The building has such potential and is quite attractive from the outside but the inside is very unloved and rundown. It needs a complete overhaul. But it’s cheap and clean.
